انہوں نے کہا کہ پورے ملک میں لوگوں کو نشانہ بنایا جارہا ہے اور انہیں ہلاک کیا جارہا ہے اور ان بیشتر علاقوں کی شہری آبادی کو نشانہ بنایا جارہا ہے۔ آئی ایس آئی ایس جیسے گروہ جو شکست کھا چکے تھے اب ایک بار پھر بڑھ رہے ہیں۔

ہائی کمشنر بیچلیٹ کا کہنا ہے کہ شام ایک بار پھر خونی جنگ کے دہانے پر ہے اور اگر موجودہ خلاف ورزیوں پر قابو نہ پایا گیا تو ایک بار پھر ملک بھر میں تشدد پھیل جائے گا۔
